Simulated Environments Testing

Simulated Environments Testing – is the process of subjecting a product to environments it will see over its lifetime. Depending on the product usage, commercial, aviation, space, medical, military, the environments and the testing will vary significantly. Typically, the end user will specify the test to be performed, however, when no test criteria are available Engineering Dynamics, Inc. can suggest appropriate test specifications.

 

Acoustical Testing for Product Noise Control – includes noise emission levels, measurement of existing products and prototype models, and product certification testing.

 

Acoustical Materials Testing – Measurement of sound absorption coefficients and evaluation of damping materials.

 


 

Environmental Testing – testing of prototype and production components and equipment for sustained acceleration, temperature, humidity, altitude, temperature/humidity, temperature, altitude, salt fog, fungus, sand, dust, solar radiation, and rain environments per MIL-STD-810, RTCA, ISTA, ASTM, ANSI, ISO, IEC and other standards.

 

Shock Testing – classical shock, Shock Response Spectrum (SRS) and Pyro-Shock / Pyro-Technic Shock testing per MIL-STD-810, RTCA, ISTA and launch vehicle profiles.

 

Vibration Testing – Sine, random and mixed-mode testing per MIL-STD-810, RTCA, ISTA on electromagnetic shakers with capacity up to 10,000 force-pounds.

 

Acceleration Testing – sustained acceleration testing either on the centrifuge or by sine burst simulation.

 

Fixture Design – Design and fabrication of vibration and shock test fixtures, and apparatus for life cycle testing.
